Event Assistant

Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill an exciting Event Assistant role in NYC, NY! The right candidate will have experience with project management or even coordination. Apply now if you meet the qualifications listed below!

This role will start out as part time 3 days a week then beginning in March will go to full time hours. This is a consulting opening. 

Responsibilities

  • Schedule all planning meetings and briefing calls

  • Participate in weekly planning calls and circulate post-meeting notes to planning team

  • Collect and organize speaker and attendee information

  • Organize materials for printed collateral

  • Collect information and paperwork needed for attendee and speaker reimbursements 

  • Work with the travel team to help coordinate all hotel, travel, and accommodation needs for attendees and speakers

  • Respond to speaker and attendee logistical questions prior to, during, and following the event

  • Assist with event RSVPs, list management, and conduct follow up phone calls and emails with event invitees

  • Organize and print event name badges

  • Assist with day-of event staffing needs

  • Assist planning team, as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.

  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven skill and comfort in prioritizing, multi-tasking and efficiently delivering high-quality work product required.

  • Previous experience with project management or event coordination, preferred.  

  • PC skills, with proficiency with Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
