One or our brand-new clients in downtown Vancouver is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Assembler!  This local company has been around for 35 years and is a leader in delivering advanced power and control technologies! 

 

POSITION SUMMARY:      

 

Performs basic and routine electronic assembly operations on components or subassemblies.  Assembles electronic components, sub-assemblies and chassis to meet production schedules and performance standards.  Duties and tasks are standardized but what is performed will vary day to day.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  1. Uses Operational Method Sheets, drawings, schematics, electronic assembly equipment and verbal/written instructions to assemble, modify, rework or re-assemble units.
  2. Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature.  The ability to recognize nonconformities is required.
  3. Communicates openly and effectively in a professional manner.
  4. Understands and follows all safety requirements.
  5. Understands and follows ISO practices and procedures.
  6. Maintains fixturing, performs calibration, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
  7. May assist with training other AE employees in established processes.
  8. Travel may be required.
  9. Considers the impact of quality on the customers when making decisions.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

 

  1. Basic knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly.
  2. Works under direct supervision.
  3. Minimal problem solving and interfacing with other departments.

 

  1. Expected to train other employees in established processes
  2. Initiates and contributes to corrective actions.
  3. Ensures all tasks are performed accurately and completely.
  4. Must be effectively cross-trained on multiple product platforms.
  5. Initiates and contributes to improving processes, lead times, through-put and cost.
  6. Understands Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts.
  7. Intermediate computer knowledge to include AE Nexus, Excel, Word and Outlook.
  8. Proficient in all pertinent SAP applications.
  9. Minimum of two years electro-mechanical assembly (or equivalent).

 

  • Must consent to a background and drug screen
  • Pay: $15-20/hour DOE
  • M-F: 7:30 AM to 4:40 PM
  • Temp-to-hire
