Adecco is currently assisting a top Colorado Accounting firm in their search to fill at Senior Tax Manager position for their Denver office. This is a direct hire role. This role supervises tax consulting projects, researches complex tax issues, coordinates, reviews, and delivers tax engagement projects, develops, coaches, and supervises staff; and assists in client relationship management and practice development activities. Responsibilities

Supervise tax consulting projects ensuring that projects are conducted in accordance with firm standards and completed on time and within budget.

Assist in conducting fieldwork. This may include visiting the client location, touring client facilities, investigating relevant facts, analyzing accounting information, reviewing accounting detail and summaries, completing or reviewing appropriate tax computations, and reviewing or preparing written reports summarizing the findings.

Communicate with clients, internal staff, and management, both verbally and in written form.

Develop good working relationships with clients to optimize satisfaction and work with client management and staff at all levels to perform tax services.

Manage workload. Demonstrate the ability to succeed in a less structured environment and handle several projects and tasks simultaneously.

Respond to inquiries from the IRS, state, and other tax authorities.

Gain comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives and utilize that knowledge on engagements.

Review tax return preparation and supervise tax staff, providing review notes for discussion and coaching





Qualifications:



Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and an active CPA

Master's degree in Taxation is preferred.

Minimum 6-10 years of progressively responsible public accounting experience with a large local, regional, or national public accounting firm.

Strong tax accounting skills with proficiency in tax compliance, corporate consolidated returns, income tax provisions, partnership returns, and combined state tax returns.

Prior supervisory experience is required. Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Must demonstrate experience in working as a productive team member.
