Fabricator 3A- Sr.

Wage: $18-$23/hr based on experience/Certs/Quals

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Responsible for running production with manual welding equipment and may be responsible for setting up, loading and operating pre-programmed equipment including the CNC laser cutter, turret punch press, NC press brake with multi-axis back-gauge, robot welders and VMC. Responsible for conducting inspections in accordance with the relevant plans to ensure high quality products.

1. Responsible for running production on manual welding stations and may be responsible for setting up and running of all pre-programmed production equipment in addition to all basic fabrication equipment such as Drill Press, Saw, Nut Welder, etc.
2. Conducts inspections in accordance with relevant gage plans with a working knowledge of how to operate calipers and angle gages.
3. Able to troubleshoot problems that arise with work center and parts.
4. Cleans parts as required.
5. Responsible for preventative maintenance of machine center and compliance with the 6-S schedule and for performing minor repairs on fabrication cell equipment.
6. Assures compliance with QSR/ISO procedures/policies, customer service goals, and quality standards, while meeting production goals.
7. Accountable for all record-keeping as appropriate and in accordance with specifications.
8. Committed to quality by striving for reliability and quality in our products, continuously searching for ways to enhance performance and meeting all training and documentation criteria.

-Requires completion of high school education or equivalent.
-Minimum one year TIG welding or Accredited Welding Certification
-Must pass the Advanced Certification weld test with thirty days of the start of the assignment and may include demonstrated capability to set-up programmable fabrication equipment.
-Quality training including visual inspection of welds (if operating a robot welder), incoming part quality, gage plan completion, and proper part loading.
-Ability to read, understand and follow set-up instructions, process sheets, blueprints, etc.
-Ability to use height stand, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring system, and other inspection equipment to inspect work pieces.
-Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly involving machine operation or welding equipment, preferred.
