Facilities Maintenance Technician

Adecco is working with one of our great clients in Dublin, Ohio to provide a Facilities Maintenance Technician! This is an immediate opening! Starting pay rate is $15.00-18.00 based on experience!

Position Overview:  Responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks.  Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry; electrical; HVAC; plumbing; furniture assembly).  Respond and resolve facilities service requests and interface with staff or vendors to complete facilities, space planning, janitorial, security, and maintenance of 60,000 square foot Dublin, OH locations.

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Inspect buildings and other structures to confirm safety, access and physical security is systems are functioning properly, detect malfunctions and complete needed repair, making notes and recommendations.
  • Perform minor electrical maintenance to include but not limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. bulbs, ballast, fuses, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.
  • Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains, faucets, unclogging drains, etc.).
  • Performs minor carpentry and masonry work. (e.g. preparing surfaces, hanging doors, fitting and repairing locks and handles).
  • Reconfigures, installs, positions, and remounts modular offices and space (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.)
  • Prepares the surfaces and paints various structures and equipment (e.g. walls, floors, doors, etc.) to preserve wood and surfaces from corrosion and maintain a safe and comfortable working environment.
  • Clean offices, hallways, lobbies restrooms, parking lot and other areas as needed.   Coordinate activities of day porter and night janitorial vendors to support business needs.
  • Maintain inventory and submit orders for consumable product (e.g. toilet paper, paper towels, soap, hygiene products, etc.)
  • Performs other work related duties as assigned.

 

Candidate Profile & Required Skills:

 

• At least 2 years prior Maintenance experience to include maintenance and facilities coordination duties.

• Experienced in Microsoft Office programs with strong computer program learning skills; Experience with SAP a plus.

• Able to maintain a well-organized and professional approach to a multiple competing priorities.

• Excellent problem solving, initiative and self-direction skills

• Ability to work extended hours, nights, or weekends, if required for special projects.

• Adaptability: Appropriately reacting to changing situations without a loss of effectiveness and enthusiasm for strategic initiatives and corporate goals.

• Attention to Detail: Appropriately completing all of the individual tasks accurately or according to workflow/process guidelines with an emphasis on reaching or exceeding quality standards.
