Facilities Manager- Management Trainee or Assistant Manager

Adecco is currently recruiting for a skilled Facilities Manager. Based on your previous experience, your title will either be a Facilities Management Trainee or an Assistant Manager. This is a PERMANENT, DIRECT HIRE opportunity that pays between $35,000 and $45,000 annually, based on experience. The client is located in Wilkes Barre, PA and offers a wonderful benefits package, including paid time off, holiday pay, and more! This is a dayshift position. You will need to work an 8 hour shifts between the hours of 7am and 6pm, and as needed for emergencies that may arise.

In this facilities role, you will be responsible for all facility infrastructure and logistics, including administration and supervision of predictive and preventative maintenance programs. We are looking for a candidate that has at least 3 years' experience managing a facility, as well as a minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or combination of experience and educationtraining.

The ideal client must be extremely reliable, dedicated, and loyal. They must have a proven, solid employment record, impeccable customer service skills, good problem solving and critical thinking skills. We also need someone who is organized and detail oriented.

SUMMARY:
-Provide employees with their facility related needs, ensuring their productivity is optimally maintained.
-Responsible for proactive space allocations to meet organizational growth.
-Manage high performance in all areas of office services, shipping and receiving, food and beverage, safety & security, EH&S, waste management and operations/maintenance.
-Address building emergencies such as plumbing, HVAC, Mechanical systems, building health, etc.
-Manage facilities vendor relationships, ensuring work is being performed to scope.
-Work with sourcing to negotiate contracts and issue RFPs as needed for future services.
-Develop and follow preventative maintenance schedules for all related equipment.
-Assist in creating corporate safety programs including EH&S, emergency response and evacuation planning.
-Manage building security program and be first point of contact for emergencies.
-Assist with future build-outs and/or office upgrades.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Administers and supervises the predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
-Ensure employees work is compliant with all safety codes, follows the objectives, physical requirements, parameters, and constraints of the project, including not only the user's functional needs but also health and safety, operation, maintenance, energy efficiency, quality standards, contextual issues, and aesthetics.
-Assists in the development of policies, guidelines, standards.
-Works closely with other departments and administration, negotiates priorities, makes job assignments, and places orders for materials, furnishings, supplies and equipment.
-Works with the site FM and sourcing on the selection process and contract negotiations for consultants, contractors, and vendors.

EDUCATION:
-BS/BA degree in related discipline preferred, but not required
-CHMM, FMP, CFM, and/or PMP certification a plus.

EXPERIENCE:
-A minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or combination of experience and education/training.
-At least 3 years' experience managing a facility
-Experience managing cardkey systems, BMS, security systems.
