Field Clinical Manager


A Field Clinical Manager job is available through Adecco Medical and Science with an innovative medical device company! This is a field-based position in the Detroit Area requiring up to 80% travel to surrounding territory: Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and Upper Wisconsin. You will be responsible for providing field-based clinical and technical training on the use of the company’s medical device. Prior surgical and/ or operating room experience is a plus.

Field Clinical Manager Job Responsibilities Include:

Clinical and Technical Support

Represents the company during surgeries, implants, and device programming.
Demonstrates expertise in all aspects of implanted medical devices and troubleshooting techniques.
Provides support and follow-ups in hospitals and clinics.
Receives technical inquiries by telephone.
Researches solutions to questions or problems.
Provides on-call support as needed for surgeries, reprogramming, troubleshooting, follow-up, etc.

Educational/Research Support

Educates and trains physicians, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to the company’s products.
Builds professional and technical knowledge by engaging with customers, attending scientific conferences, educational workshops, delivering presentations and training to field personnel and reviewing professional publications
Regularly educates and updates physicians/clinicians and clinic follow-up staff on new product releases of device systems and features, including both hardware and software modifications.
Aid physicians with technology – literature searches, engineering, medical device technology.

Internal Support

Educates and trains internal personnel on technical and clinical matters relating to the company’s products.
Maintain open, effective communication with all medical device functions, including Regulatory Assurance, Quality Assurance, and Product Development, as well as with employees.
Assist sales to identify and target physicians.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Must be able to operate with little direct supervision.
Travel may be extensive, up to 80%, with two to three overnights a week.

Bachelor's degree in health care related field or a four-year degree with health care/clinical experience. Advanced degree in health sciences or engineering preferred.

Prefer prior surgical and/or OR support experience as a field clinical engineer, technical representative, technology trainer or clinical trainer in medical device field.
