Field Operations Technician

Adecco is currently assisting a local client, the World’s Largest Search Engine, in their search to find an Operations Specialist. This is part of an exciting fast-growing project within the Search Engine. This is a temporary assignment slated for 6 months and will sit Remote


Project Overview:

As an Operations Specialist, you will help our team with collecting valuable high quality data from our test fields using a robotic platform that includes a variety of sensors (cameras, GPS, etc). You will also be responsible for performing basic maintenance of the platform, as well as taking detailed notes on the performance of this device.


Top Responsibilities:

  • Perform data collection from test fields daily.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance on prototypes on a scheduled basis.
  • Onsite Technician to troubleshoot and maintain new equipment for data collection campaigns.
  • Ensure data is uploaded on a timely manner.
  • Secure all work equipment and charge all portable field devices.
  • Keeping field logs up to date
  • Assist with data labelling efforts from the experiment design team.
  • Provide feedback to Engineering and Operations Teams on prototype usability.



  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Work with Basic Hand and Power Tools
  • Physically fit, ability to work outdoors in austere environments for 8 hours + per day
  • Ability to provide clear and concise written and verbal feedback to Engineering and Operations Teams
  • 2+ years’ experience working in outdoor operations
  • Clean driving record (No DUIs, or more than 2 traffic violations during the previous 3 years)
