Adecco Direct Placement is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a Final Assembly Machine Technician in Marshall, IL.

DESCRIPTION

Apply basic electro-mechanical trouble shooting skills to perform preventative maintenance and equipment down repairs on Final Assembly process equipment (automated final assembly cells, Staubli & Adept robots, Allen Bradley, Omron, & Keyence PLC’s, spray & dip coating equipment, automated screwdrivers, conveyor equipment, Grohmann overmold cells, Arburg injection molding equipment, etc.) as primary job function.

RESPONSIBILITIES


Basic troubleshooting of electrical systems – locate shorts in wiring; use multimeter to check continuity, power, and phases, use amp probe.


Fabrication skills -Use mill, lathe, drill press to fabricate non-precision parts ie. scanner bracket.


Conducts basic tests or analysis on production equipment to determine operability. Applies standard troubleshooting techniques to determine and correct for malfunctions.


Capable of operating, troubleshooting, & performing maintenance on automated assembly cells, PLCs, coating equipment, screwdrivers, overmold & injection molding, etc.. as required.


Develops and conduct machine operator training.


Safe use of power tools as required.


Makes effective technical decisions and communicates them to Maintenance, Engineering, Production and Management to support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.


Comply with and support the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedures.


Other duties as assigned.


Education Requirements

•High School Diploma or GED with 3 years experience installing, maintaining and repairing electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment.
oEquivalent – AS technical degree in related field

Experience and Skill Requirements

•Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
•Computer skills – Hardware/Software troubleshooting, Equipment programming skills, MS Office
•Demonstrates a desire to learn, develop technical skills and formulate constructive ideas.
•Promote a positive attitude towards teamwork and the resolution of equipment issues.
