Position: Finance Consultant – Workforce Forecast Financials
Pay rate: depends upon experience
Length: 6 months W2 contract
Location: Cary NC

Position Summary:

This position falls within the Expense Management area. Expense Management is accountable for this client’s Infrastructure & Architecture’s (EI&A) expense forecasting and planning.

This Finance Consultant role will be responsible for Workforce reconciliation, forecasting, and planning.

In addition, this role will provide Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to be leveraged by management for strategic decision making. Establishes implements, maintains and monitors processes to ensure alignment with industry best practices. Manage against key deliverables as defined by corporate finance and senior leadership.

Key Position Responsibilities:

Work with departmental leadership to reconcile, forecast, and plan for Workforce related financials.
Assist departmental owners through diligence in capturing and identifying all costs associated with Workforce tracking.
Accountable for annual employee costs (Compensation, Benefits, Workers Compensation, Relocation) budget creation.
Accountable for forecasting and planning related to various commodities (Travel, Print, Supplies, and Professional Services).
Assist management with consolidated financial reporting packages and presentations for senior leadership.
Strong relationship, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and analytical skills, and ability to work independently as well as within a team environment

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


Proven self-starter, capable of delivery in both team and extended individual assignments, with excellent organizational skills and proactive approach to deliverables
Demonstrates excellent communication skills in their ability to present complicated findings
Demonstrates critical thinking and ability to apply problem solving within new macro environments
5+ years’ experience with expense management, financial reporting and general finance practices, including accruals, depreciation, accounting and financial rules that govern expense reporting, billing and chargeback practices
Workforce planning
Hyperion, Proficiency in MS Excel (Including VBA), Word and PowerPoint
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented and dynamic environment
Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, Technology or degree with equivalent work experience.

Professional background specifically within an Infrastructure organization
Workforce planning for Infrastructure organization
Strong relationship, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and analytical skills, and ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
Ability to read and interpret expense implications of IT sourcing documents (contracts, SOWS, proposals, POs)
