Finance Manager

Job Summary
Has responsibility for managing all aspects of consolidating and reporting Zimmer financial performance to technical accounting research.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
 Manages a staff of finance professionals in developing the necessary financial reports to satisfy the Company’s internal and external reporting requirements, including annual reports, periodic and transactional SEC filings, governmental reporting, board reports, and earnings releases.
 Responsible for the consolidating and analyzing the balance sheet and statement of cash flows.
 Acts as the point person for external financial audits.
 Responsible for technical GAAP research and is the point person for technical accounting issues
 Stays abreast of changes in reporting requirements and interprets the effect on Zimmer.
 Special projects, including business combinations.

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e. KSAs)
 Must have experience managing and developing a staff of finance professionals.
 Must have ability to lead a team, and work independently in a timely and accurate manner.
 Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
 Must have an in-depth understanding of SEC requirements, GAAP, FASB and accounting standards and pronouncements.
 International accounting and reporting experience is preferred.
 Must be computer literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, corporate reporting software (such as Hyperion or TM1) and a working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word.
Education/ Experience Requirements
 Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and be a certified public accountant. Must possess six to eight years’ experience in accounting/finance with at least five years in Big 4 public accounting or a combination of Big 4 public accounting and public company reporting experience.
 A CPA is preferred.
