Job Title; Financial Analyst – Controllership
Hours- Mon-Fri (8am-5pm w/OT)
Location- 4000 buechel bank road Louisville KY 40225 Louisville, KY

Job Summary;

The Controllership Analyst will be responsible for reviewing balance sheet accounts.
Responsibility will include booking monthly journal entries, deep-dive balance sheet reviews, and preparation/review of account reconciliations.
Additionally, the analyst will help drive and implement simpler and more efficient closing processes and partner with the Senior Finance Manager in ownership and review of all balance sheet accounts.
Relocation assistance may be offered.

Job Description

Support the deep-dive balance sheet reviews and correct identified issues/concerns
Support the monthly closing process by reviewing account balances and making adjusting journal entries
Prepare and review account reconciliations related to cash, employee travel, benefits and payroll
Support the monthly financial reporting requirements to the parent company
Works with auditors to facilitate audit requests and assist in remediating issues
Coordinate the annual Employee Benefit Plan audit with external audit firm
Provide support in tracking and reporting ad-hoc controllership assignments

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university or college
Minimum 2 years of experience in an auditing role for a public accounting firm
Ability to analyze and present complex financial data
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, Pivot-tables, Macros)
Passed all sections of the CPA exam
experience w/auditing benefit plans
experience w/public accounting firms in auditing
will work with corporate payroll acct, closing books and acct. reconciliation

Desired Qualifications:

Oracle and Hyperion system experience
Experience with a major ERP system
Knowledge of employee benefit accounting and monthly closing processes
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
