Pay Rate: $30.00-50.00 per hour (depending on years of experience)

Financial Analyst

Primary Purpose of the Position
Individual will create, manage and present financial and operational reports for the PSEG Corporate Real Estate & Facilities department. Lead support in quarterly Real Estate Tax Payment process and appeals tracking and payment. Other activities include the preparation of real estate third party miscellaneous billing and preparation managerial reports from SAP. Also assist in business planning efforts, operational performance benchmarking, consolidating, analyzing and communicating information relating to real property rights revenue and payments, tenant reimbursement, and O&M and Capital cost projections.
Perform analysis of Corporate Real Estate departmental budget performance and other cost drivers and identify business opportunities, and assess business risks. Prepare Corporate Real Estate forecast, monthly closing reports and monthly management reports. Support Corporate Real Estate business plan development, including scorecard metrics. Take lead role on researching and analyzing numerous business planning assumptions. Prepare internal reports for Service Company billing and forecast. Provide lease contract management support including but not limited to tenant reimbursements, and the reconciliation of building operating expense charges, and associated recommendation for approval.

Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor for rule compliance on the bidding of generating assets into ISO energy, ancillary services, and capacity markets, as well as the bidding of other ISO transactions (e.g. load, transmission, FTRs, etc.)
- Monitor for contract performance on activities under ER&T’s asset management contracts, including the LIPA contracts
- Prepare and report on daily/monthly analyses of performance to benchmarks and key performance indicators to be used in management review meetings
- Develop and maintain Excel models used for daily/monthly reporting and supporting procedural documentation

Basic Qualifications:
• BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering or 3 years relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency in the following: SAP (or similar financial application), Excel, PowerPoint and Ariba (or similar procurement application).
• Proven analytic skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization/management.
• Ability to work independently and in a high pressure, time constrained environment.
