Finance Analyst/ Consultant

Tampa FL

W2 contract 3 months

Pay Rate: depends upon experience

Our client is a premier insurance asset management corporation with breadth across various asset sectors and global markets, and strong asset-liability management capabilities. This position is within the department that manages the F P&A and acts as finance PMO on key strategic programs impacting the global enterprise.


Compiles and analyzes financial information for an organization. Develops integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations. Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management. Performs financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager.

Specific Duties:

• Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting
• Timely submission of reports
• Respond to any project related ad-hoc report request
• Month end close and forecasts for programs

Essential Qualifications:

4-7 years of experience F P & A; financial management; analysis
Exceptional client service skills (customer first) to interact with high level senior management
Strong time management and flexible to work outside normal BAU hours if necessary
Financial software systems knowledge
BS/BA degree in Finance, Accounting or applicable field of expertise
Proficient use of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) including ADVANCED EXCEL knowledge
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Work effectively independently as well as with teammates.
Ability to structure and conduct detailed, data-driven analyses.
Aptitude in building and adjusting spreadsheet models/databases.
Proven ability to independently manage multiple assignments and demonstrate initiative.
Attention to detail, yet able to summarize and communicate complex issues effectively.
