The Financial Analyst will be responsible for building financial models to aid in forecasting and cost allocation, gathering requirements and documenting IT Finance cost allocations to move from an intense manual process to an automation process.
 

Job Title- Financial Analyst

Location-  Princeton, NJ

Duration-  3 months+ contract

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performance and documentation of moderate to complex financial analysis projects 
  • Continuous interpretation of financial transactions and events 
  • Relevant and well-researched recommendations for process improvement measures 
  • Works with supervision and mentoring from Finance Manager & IT Governance staff but overall works independently 
  • Ability to work with stakeholders which include both IT and Finance 
     

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent MS Excel Skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Macros etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Good Knowledge of budgeting and ability to perform reconciliation of actual versus budget and provide detailed information on business unit allocations.
  • Cost/Benefit Analysis-Understanding of how to formulate cost of an operation and preparing various worksheets and summary reports for cost/benefit analysis. 
  • Cost Modeling-Knowledge of Cost Modeling to calculate the costs of providing service and to design and build a framework in which all costs can be recorded and allocated.
  • Financial Analysis- Reviewing financial quantitative or conceptual problems and situations, and drawing appropriate and valid conclusions from data presented.
  • Variance Analysis and Expense Analysis experience is desired
  • Detail oriented, excellent written and oral communication skills, adaptability, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work well with minimal supervision and a willingness to propose solutions and process improvements. 

 

Relevant Years of Experience Required: 
 

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience is required.
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience
