10+ months assignment

The Global Collateral Operations Regulatory Reporting team, is looking for a professional to work both on tax and other regulatory reporting engagements for support of Derivatives and Fixed Income Collateral Operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyze tax-related data and monitor automated client tax withholding and reporting to ensure completeness, validity and accuracy on a daily basis. Work closely with tax data collection teams to proactively source missing data and thus remediate undocumented clients. Work with tax payment teams to ensure correct tax withholding and payments made to tax authorities. Work closely with technology to ensure the timely and accurate operation of tax systems;

• Prepare reports of collateral balances to satisfy regulatory reporting requirements relating to liquidity and credit risk. Work with business partners including Liquidity Management, Finance and Credit Risk to understand and document reporting requirements;

• Participate in IT initiatives and transition projects for the Regulatory Reporting team as the collateral systems are integrated to target infrastructure, and in user acceptance testing of tax data control processes;

• Design, maintain and publish appropriate metrics for operations control;

• Strive for building standardized, integrated, controlled and properly-evidenced reporting solutions adhering to regulatory requirements;


CORE/ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES:
• Undergraduate degree in business, economics, finance and/or accounting with 3-5 years’ experience in taxation (preferably the US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act-FATCA);

• Strong understanding of financial markets with experience in any of the following disciplines:
OTC derivatives or fixed income trade lifecycle, regulatory reporting, operations, collateral management, Valuations;
• Strong data mining and analysis skills; proficient in MS Excel;

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

• Methodical and organized mindset, with strong control background and attention to detail with regards to ensuring data integrity, and in reviewing forms/documents in accordance with provided procedures, relevant standards, etc.;

• Ability to present issues/ideas of moderate complexity in an easy to understand manner. Ability to ask questions/challenge perceptions based on tax/data experience;

• Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task;


DESIRABLE/PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Registered Certified Public Accountant;

• Basic VBA & SQL skills;

• Microsoft Power Point & Visio;
