Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

 

Job Duties:

Compiles and analyzes financial information for an organization. Develops integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations. Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management. Performs financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts. Requires a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst with strong financial insight and a deep analytical background to assist the Global Reconciliation Center of Excellence with using the current data structure to identify and drive resolution of issues, provide actionable intelligence with existing metrics or identify, develop, and propose new metrics, dashboards or scorecards.
As a member of this team, you will leverage strong data extraction skills to drive worldwide reporting deliverables, create ad hoc financial and performance analysis, and implement ideas for process improvement.
The individual must have the ability to communicate effectively across multiple lines of businesses, legal entities, as well as across other geographies.
Successful members of this team collaborate effectively to solve data problems, implement new reporting solutions, and deliver successfully against high operational standards. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual that seeks to tell the story of the data with little direction or supervision.

Summary of Responsibilities
• Collect, analyze and report on metrics and data trends. This involves turning raw data into intelligent information and looking for patterns that can help the teams improve the matching rates for their high-volume transaction reconciliation.
• Work actively with the reconciliation team to evaluate and improve the content and formatting all of metrics and data trend analysis reports, based on a regular feedback loop from the countries and lines of businesses
• Evaluate, document and prioritize all business requirements for the configuration and enhancement of matching and reporting functionality within the reconciliation tools.
• Manage delivery of high-quality outputs in a dynamic work environment with overlapping deadlines and tight time constraints
• Support weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews covering financial and non-financial metrics, including performance against stated objectives.

• Participate in efforts to maintain quality, coverage and relevancy of reporting while streamlining and automating report creation process.

Functional Responsibilities:
• In-depth understanding of audit and financial reporting needs. This also requires an in-depth knowledge of how metrics and data can help improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity and consistency at the team, region, country and lines of businesses level.

• Superior analytical, problem solving and trouble-shooting skills, with a proven ability to exercise sound judgment to solve complex issues, recognize business critical situations, and escalate as needed.

• Highly detail-oriented, with an ability to find and resolve data inconsistencies in a timely manner; along with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and distill it visually and/or in crisp, clear language appropriate for a wide variety of audiences.

• Experienced and capable of executing project assignments as part of a team and independently within assigned timelines.

• Exhibits ability to build strong relationships with management at various levels to ensure, develop or implement better business practices.

• Responsible for preparation and presentation of management reports Ability to produce quality products in short time periods under pressure
Supervisory Responsibilities: None. May provide guidance to and assist corporate staff members.

Education:
• BA/BS degree, preferably in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.
Required Competencies:
1. 5+ years of business or financial reporting or metrics analysis experience in a public or private company environment.
2. Thorough, conscientious and detail oriented
3. Logical/disciplined approach to problem solving
4. Strong analytical, organization/planning and project management skills
5. Must be willing to take the initiative to improve processes and resolve problems.
6. Can work independently, is flexible and adaptable to a rapid changing environment
7. Working knowledge of HFM, complex ledgers and financial data query tools, such as OBIEE report; Essbase is a plus.
8. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, PowerPoint), including the ability to manipulate and analyze large data files.
9. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize functions and meet deadlines.
