Pay:                        $18.00-20.00

Shift/Hours:          8A – 5P

Position Description:

In this function, team members are responsible for preparing, processing and maintaining new government sponsored program/Financial Assistance enrollments. Team members may enter new data into the system databases, update with changes and respond to eligibility questions, verify enrollment status. Team Members may also be responsible for reconciling eligibility discrepancies, analyzing transactional data & submitting retroactive eligibility changes.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Assisting patient/family in completing applications for government sponsored programs/Financial Assistance.
• Assess patients eligibility for government sponsored programs/Financial Assistance.
• Contacts patient/family and conducts interviews for the purpose of assessing eligibility.
• Verifies patients information to complete applications.
• Checks patient account for previous balances and advises patient of all financial obligations.
• Informs patient of collection policy
• Notifies appropriate hospital staff regarding eligibility status and determination.
• Coordinates with various agencies and individuals to resolve individual cases.
• Answers the telephone and maintains files. Accumulates data for performance reports.
• Informs Supervisor of activities, issues and problem cases.
• Basic tasks are completed without review by others. Supervision/guidance is required for higher level tasks.
• Performs related duties as required.

Requirements:
• High school education or GED
• 1+ year Medicaid experience
• 3+ year of experience in an office setting environment using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties
• Available to work 37.5 hours per week with the flexibility to adjust daily schedule, and work over-time and/or weekends, as needed
• Must have CAC certificate or be able to obtain one through company provided training within 1-3 months from date of hire
• 1+ years of financial experience
• Experience with Word, Excel & Outlook. Word - Create Correspondence and work within templates. Excel - Data Entry, Sort/filter, and work within tables. Outlook - email and calendar management.
Assets:
• Experience with Medicaid
• Bilingual English: any other language
• 1+ years financial experience in a medical setting
