Kitchen Assistant

Individual will be responsible for assisting cafeteria management, chefs and staff in all production related to operations of cafeteria and catering. Individual will work on cash register system and deliver catering and supplies.
Work hours are Monday - Friday from 6:00am - 2:30pm (Flexibility required in regards to occasional Saturday assignments)

? Knowledge and ability to follow cash handling procedures; experience in operating computerized cash register system a plus.
? Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
? Must maintain a neat appearance and comply with food service health regulations, food safety and sanitation practices.
? Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
? General knowledge of light grill work and basic kitchen equipment such as ovens, food choppers and meat slicers.
? Possess basic culinary knowledge of hot and cold sandwiches and salads.
? Knowledge of light grill work including breakfast entrees.
? Knowledge and/or training in proper kitchen sanitation.
? Must be a team player and possess an exceptional customer service attitude.
? Ability to stand and walk short distances throughout the workday, as well as lifting and carrying relatively light materials weighing approximately 25lbs.
? Ability to provide additional support at other locations based on business needs.
? Ability to work overtime and weekends based on business needs.
? Must have a valid Driver's License.
? Perform other duties as assigned.
