Job Duties and Qualifications:

FOOD & BEVERAGE CLERKS-- Previous experience in food services and cash handling or cash register experience. Must be 21 years of age and have current Food Handler cards and OLCC licenses. Greet the guests and sell food and beverage products from the snack menu. Prepare snake menu: pop corn, hot dogs, etc. Ensure the tent is clean and tidy at all time. Help for the delivery in the warehouse (truck or container), and restock all selling areas, fridges, shelves, etc. Clean all machines everyday. Monitor the sale of alcohol to minors and intoxicated guest. Use electronic point of sales systems, process sales with cash and credit/debit cards, ensures the register is balancing at all time.

MERCHANDISING CLERKS-- Previous retail and sales experience preferred. Accurate cash handling and point of sale experience. Basic computer knowledge. Greet the guests and talk about the Cirque du Soleil exclusive merchandising collection. Ensure pricing is correct; display the stock according to Cirque du Soleil guidelines. Ensure the tent is clean and tidy at all time. Assist in the delivery of good to the warehouse (usually a truck or a container). Use electronic point of sales, process sales with cash and credit/debit cards, ensures the register is balancing at all time.

VIP HOST-- Must be 21 years of age and have current Food Handler cards and OLCC licenses. Previous experience as a host or hostess preferred. Control and scan the guest's tickets. Greet all guests with a smile. Take special care of high profile guests. Ensure that the tent is clean, tidy and organized at all times. Assist the supervisor for any stock control of the merchandise gifts.

USHERS-- Previous customer service experience. Control and scan the guest's tickets. Greet all guests with a smile including welcoming them to the show. Physically able to stand for long periods of time and move around the site. Must be physically able to go up and downstairs constantly. Professionally handle difficult situations that may arise with unsatisfied customers and suggest possible resolutions. Basic cleaning responsibility after a shows conclusion. Ability to work with minimal direction

BOX OFFICE -- Answering customer calls and handling customer transactions. Preparing will call for each performance. Handling cash and credit card transactions, balancing registers each day. Previous customer service experience and ability to communicate effectively. Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in stressful situations. Must be positive, honest, resourceful, polite, courteous and presentable. Computer experience, software experience such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Previous cash handling and/or credit card transaction experience a plus.

JANITORS - Cleaning the site, the Big Top and cleaning the site during shows. This positions is an outdoor environment the entire shift. Picking up trash and cleaning public and artistic restrooms. Making sure trash bins are emptied and clean. Sweeping, mopping floors, and dusting. Previous janitor experience preferred, but not required. Good customer service experience and good manners.

WARDROBE DRESSERS - Professional demeanor and pride in your work. Ability to stand, stretch, bend, reach, and kneel for prolonged periods of time without restriction and to climb stairs and ladders. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to work in wet areas and with cleaning solutions. Assist with laundry, ironing and pre-sets for nightly performances. Assist the performers into and out of their costume changes before and during performances. Perform emergency repairs of costumes and costume-related items. Perform various hand and machine sewing, and make minor repairs. A minimum of two years' professional experience working with a large-scale production. Experience as a show dresser working with dancers or acrobatic performers a plus.

KITCHEN STAFF: Prep Cooks, Dining Room Attendants, Dishwashers -- All positions must have current Food Handler Cards. All positions must have previous restaurant or fast food service experience.

DISHWASHERS will be responsible for washing crockery, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, etc. Responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen and individual work area. Assist with food prep task, i.e. peeling potatoes, carrots, etc. Assist with set-up and/or tear down if asked. Experience with washing dishes in a community kitchen environment. Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment.

PREP COOKS will prepare salads and dressings, cold cuts/cheeses, cheese platters, sandwich prep. Prepare basic salad preparations, i.e. green salads, tomato wedges, cukes slices, celery and carrot sticks, sliced peppers, pickles, olives, radishes, alfafa, etc. Perform basic food prep work, i.e. peeling carrots, onions, potatoes, etc. Assist with vegetable prep work. Must have knowledge and experience with food prepping, cooking, and preparation of buffets. Creativity in preparation of dishes and with presentation of plates. Experience with working in a community kitchen environment.

DINING ROOM ATTENDANTS must have cashiering and balancing cash receipts experience. Dining room supplies inventory control includes making orders in advance and communicating delivery delays to the Director or Assistant. Assist with cleaning kitchen, dining room, and stores. Participate in the tear down and set up of the kitchen. Responsible for care of the dining room: Prepare, dispensing, and sell hot and cold beverages and other merchandise, i.e. coffee (2 pots of regular/1 pot of decaffeinated), juices, beer, wine, espresso, cappuccino, soft drinks.
