The Formal Catering Facilitator position is vital to achieving excellent customer service and executing catering events. This position is responsible for pulling equipment, supplies, food and alcohol for event set up, transporting materials and food to the event, setting up the event, serving guests, cleaning up the event, and returning equipment and alcohol to the Catering Department. This position is responsible for leading the team of associates scheduled to work formal catering event that vary in size and levels both on-site and off-site.

• Professional demeanor at all times and keep all information seen or heard at executive events confidential
• Organize and lead catering team on all catering functions
• Organize and lead preparation of the event room for the function
• Communicate event requirements and expectations to the associates working the event
• Serve meals, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with catering protocol and banquet event order sheets
• Properly set tables for functions
• Organize and lead the clean-up of all function areas after the event has ended
• Perform opening and closing work; to include bartending, as needed
• Must maintain a professional appearance
• Maintain storage rooms and supplies in an orderly fashion
• Maintain equipment and all other catering supplies
• Perform all job duties in a safe manner and follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Ability to understand and follow directions from the Catering Coordinators and Catering Supervisor
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and frequently lift, push, or pull 25 pounds
• Ability to walk or stand for extended time periods up to 16 hours
• Involves repetitive motion
• Involves working with chemicals, heated equipment, steam and at other risk conditions
• Ability to drive and move in and out of catering vehicles and transport event equipment and food product in a safe manner.
• Know and abide by all state liquor laws
• Must be flexible and willing to work a varied schedule
• Maintain a positive attitude in high stress situations
• Diplomatically handle guest complaints always be polite and maintain a professional manner
• Ensure all paperwork required has been completed
• Have the ability to train other employees to the standard and educate them on the menu items and other aspects of their role
• Utilize Microsoft office, When 2 Work, and EMS 

• This position reports to the Catering Supervisor
• Position requires the ability to be detail oriented, have a strong customer service focus, and a positive attitude
• Must be able to work independently and in an efficient manner 
• Must be prepared to help whenever needed as a server or bartender
• Responsible for opening and closing the event and leading the catering team during throughout 

• 1 year experience leading a team
• Strong communication skills 
• Valid Driver’s License
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Well groomed and professional appearance 
• TIPS and Serv-Safe Certified preferred
