JOB SUMMARY


Primarily responsible for the development and deployment of fraud strategies across channels within the bank operations, working with cross-functional business partners to implement strategies, track strategy performance and continuously improve the process. The successful candidate will understand business -fraud, cyber-attacks and developed and deployed best strategies to mitigate the challenges.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Utilizes diagnostics to identify system, strategy and operational issues.
Explains variances and recommends remedial actions.
Converts analytical insights into recommendations for specific Fraud Operations initiatives, developing business case and performing post-implementation tracking to ensure that targets are attained.
Mines and conducts analysis on customer, account and transactional data to create segmentation and develop fraud rules/strategies while balancing the impact to operational teams and customer experience.
Identifies and escalates gaps in process or technology hindering efficiency and/or effectiveness of product strategies
Accountable for loss targets and the customer experience generated by fraud strategies.
Monitors and adjusts existing detection strategies to ensure continued effectiveness.
Creates management reporting for fraud metrics, strategy performance and trends analysis.
Prepares data and reporting and informs business requirements on products/processes.
Maintains on-going processes and data updates.
Acts as subject matter expert and represents the team at system/project meetings as well as industry forums.
Maintains productive relationships with all internal stakeholders including Fraud Operations, Risk Management, Product, Retail, Finance, as well as, external vendors.
Becomes an SME on operational aspects of Fraud from point of compromise, exploitation, customer contact, claims processing, etc.


MUST HAVE:

Bachelor’s degree in a numerate discipline (e.g. Statistics, Business)
5-7 years' minimum experience in Fraud Strategies, Management and Detection
Proficient with data extraction/mining tools- SQL Query and SQL reporting
Basic programming knowledge- SQL Programming
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; Advanced Excel
Demonstrated analytical, financial modeling knowledge

NICE TO HAVE

Master's degree in a numerate discipline (e.g. Statistics, Business)
5 managerial experience - leading specific to Fraud Strategies, Management and Detection

Expands detection capability for new and emerging Fraud trends
Identifies and escalates gaps in process or technology hindering efficiency and/or effectiveness of the Analytics or Operations teams.
Converts analytical insights into recommendations for specific Fraud Operations initiatives, developing the business case and performing post-implementation tracking to ensure that targets are attained.
Mines and conducts analysis on customer, account and transactional data to create segmentation and develop fraud rules/strategies while balancing the impact to operational teams and the customer experience.
Designs champion/challenger strategies that lead to ongoing learning and improvement.

Accountable for loss targets and the customer experience generated by fraud strategies.
