Job Description Overview:

The Fraud Investigation Analyst will provide investigative, analytical, and administrative support to Global Asset Protection (GAP) North America Criminal Investigations team and other internal and external partners by supporting the detection, prevention, and investigation of criminality, fraudulent transactions, abuse, and other criminal activity on and against marketplaces and our users. The role also supports the extraction, preparation, and distribution of user data information in response to law enforcement and other lawful requests. This is a one-year, contractor position, to be managed as part of Alternative Workforce (AWF).

Primary Responsibilities:
• Produce high quality detailed document production while ensuring proper service levels and response time, for law enforcement requests and other legal processes as directed, while managing sensitive or confidential information;
• Prioritize and manage tasks across a variety of mediums including case intake, case completion, law enforcement data request management, and email queues;
• Develop, implement, and insure execution on best practice sharing, tools resources, and procedures for global investigations team with a focus on driving operating efficiencies;
• Provide court testimony in judicial proceedings as Custodian of Records for marketplaces. This will include preparing official written witness statements supporting criminal trials (travel required at times);
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external business partners to convey GAP’s function strategy and value, gain synergies, and maximize results from escalations related to proactive investigations;
• Collect and disseminate written and verbal intelligence on current and future threats to the assets of the company and our customers;
• Liaise with law enforcement authorities and other government agencies in response to incoming inquiries, communicate GAP’s strategy, refer new investigations, or drive progress with ongoing cases;
• Assist with responding to internal and external escalations as needed.

Skills/Requirements:

• Strong working knowledge of the client with experience in both buying and selling and a strong belief in making the Internet a safe, viable means of commerce;
• Ability to effectively communicate to groups at all levels;
• Possess a high level of integrity, and be able to manage sensitive or confidential information;
• Capacity to make sound logical decisions that align with business strategic initiative, sometimes under ambiguous circumstances;
• Self-driven, motivated to excel, ability to work with minimal supervision, and maintain productivity in a fast-pace and at times high pressure environment;
• Positive inter-team communication and interaction and bring a high level of enthusiasm to assigned projects;
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing needs of the business and communicate applicable strategy both internally and externally;
• Maintain balance with managing diverse work streams across multiple priorities;
• Must be detail oriented, able to handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines;
• Some overnight travel required, sometimes on short notice.

Education: Bachelors Degree or work experience equivalent
