Freelance Digital Marketing Manager

Adecco Creative is assisting out client, a well-known and respected children’s educational publisher, in their search for a freelance Digital Marketing Manager. This is a full time freelance role, working 35 hours per week onsite in the client’s downtown Manhattan offices, and expected to last up to one year with the possibility of being extended.

The Digital Marketing Manager manages all facets of digital marketing including email, social media, display, website, internal, and SEM for customer Acquisition and Retention. They will also assist with Teacher Resources social media.

Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy

  • Works with Director of Marketing to plan and execute all digital marketing including email, social media, display, website, SEM and internal ad campaigns for acquisition and retention with a focus on the Teacher market.
  • Writes and develops copy and design and/or the creative briefs for each of the above-mentioned campaigns for both Teacher (and sometimes Parent) markets.
  • Manages the copy and design approval process for all assets created and is the main point person for the designated designer.
  • Works with internal teams and/or outside agencies for email, social media, SEM and display network campaigns.
  • Develops and manages marketing calendar and scheduling for each channel.
  • Manages and submits required forms for internal and social ad campaigns.
  • Reviews and helps make decisions on new marketing proposals.
  • Generates new ideas, initiatives, and offers for the marketing campaigns and identifies product updates that will increase and/or positively impact acquisition and retention.
  • Marketing liaison to editorial team on marketing aspects of select editorial assets.
  • Identifies variables to tests for ad campaigns for both markets.
  • Assist with execution of certain promotions
  • Reaches out to select customers who cancel, and schedules calls with them to garner feedback on their experience using the company’s product to identify opportunities to improve and/or make changes.

Data and Reporting

  • Analyzes and reports on performance of all digital channels.
  • Assist with marketing reporting presentations for business reviews and updates.
  • Identifies trends, opportunities, and/or adjustments to marketing campaigns and website based on data for better optimization.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of digital marketing experience
  • Diverse marketing skill set - including acquisition and retention email, PPC, SEM and SEO campaigns.
  • Knowledge and experience with subscription products and eCommerce.
  • Experience using analytics to drive decisions, able to execute large-scale email campaigns, an understanding of eCommerce best practices and creative sensibility to produce effective promotions.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to write clearly and concisely.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to carefully proof campaigns before they go live.
  • Able to liaison with various stakeholders within the company.
  • The ability to pay attention to detail and multi-task in a deadline driven environment.
  • Knowledge of project management tools, such as Jira.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
