French Bilingual Claims Analyst

Are you bilingual, with the ability to read and write in French? Do you have clerical, administrative, or data entry experience as well? We have a fantastic opportunity for you with a large employer in the downtown Louisville area. The Claims Analyst will be responsible to review and recommend the eligibility of specific claims for payment. Under the direction of the Manager, this includes the proofing of all claimant submitted data, analysis of the claim for completeness and correctness including duplication and making a recommendation as to whether the claim is eligible or deficient and processing any deficiency responses. Other tasks can include Distribution and Post Distribution review of late claims and return check reconciliation with Accounting. Claims being reviewed will most commonly be in French but also could be in English.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Clear data and claim exceptions and ensure deficiencies are flagged correctly.
  • Analyze claims, as a whole, along with supporting documentation to ensure eligibility determination is reasonable and correct
  • Send deficiency and rejection letters and process claimant responses
  • Identify and correct beneficial owner errors
  • Identify and clear basic duplicate claims
  • Identify and process shorts and transfer transactions
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.

Education and Experience


  • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of financial products (e.g. stocks, bonds & options)
  • French language proficiency (written and reading)


  • Ability to comprehend, explain and apply courts approved, complex Plans of Allocation
  • Working knowledge of corporate actions (e.g. stock splits, mergers, bond conversions, employee stock options)

Language Ability

Ability to read/analyze/interpret business periodicals/ journals/technical procedures/gov. regulations; write reports/business correspondence/procedure manuals; effectively present information/respond to questions from managers/clients/customers/public.


Mathematical Ability

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
