Contract Length: 6 months
Pay Rate:$22.00/hour
 
Responsibilities, Qualifications, & Details:                 
Provides day-to-day human resources support and counsel to a business unit and/or functional group covering many or most of the following areas: recruiting, compensation, benefits, training, employee and labor relations, employee communications, and safety and employment documentation. Ensures consistent application of policies and procedures. Serves as a liaison with internal departments/divisions and/or outside organizations.
           
1-Reviews, processes, and maintains various employment, enrollment, pay changes, informational and other confidential forms and records;        
2-Prepares and distributes current employee information, policy and procedural manuals and other communications;       
3-Arranges for outside services, such as audio/visual assistance and meals and refreshments for offsite meetings;       
4-Provides administrative support to Human Resources function through utilization of appropriate software packages;       
5-At higher levels, may be involved in employee communications such as pre-employment screening and responding to routine questions on human resource policies and procedures.      
6-Prepares documents to include drafting letters of response in dealing with employee relations issues and contract administration matters;      
7-Interfaces with outside labor/employee relations attorney as directed;  
8-Maintains employee records;         
9-Operates a personal computer and appropriate software packages or its equivalent.    

Job Requirements:
           
Typical Training / Experience - HS diploma, GED or relevant work experience; Specialized skill training/certification may be required; 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility required
           
Dept/Org Scope & Impact - Fully functioning support role having greater responsibility to perform all (or most) most of the standard work within the function; moderate impact to the department         
           
Problem Complexity - Effectively identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is not difficult or complex; Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor/manager  
           
Autonomy - Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, techniques; Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor/manager  
           
Knowledge - Demonstrates basic knowledge of a technical or specialty area; Readily learns and applies new information/concept in area of practice
