Adecco Executive Recruitment, on behalf of its client in the Jamestown, NY area, is currently recruiting for the job of Global Controller.

In conjunction with the Vice President and CFO, you will oversee and manage Global Accounting functions to ensure financial integrity, compliance with USGAAP, and timely financial management and reporting. Supporting the achievement of the Company's financial goals and strategic initiatives, you will oversee the consolidation of worldwide business financial results for the company, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position. You will ensure that efficient accounting principles, practices and processes and adequate internal controls exist within all US and international business units in the areas of General Accounting, Credit and Collections, Treasury, Tax Compliance, Internal Controls, Audit and Global Consolidation. You will direct and plan the development and maintenance of the annual budget and periodic forecasts, the annual year-end financial and benefit plan audits and the preparation of all statutory financial reports. Additionally, you'll oversee and support the design of the accounting structure, all transactional ERP systems and the maintenance of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.

Other responsibilities include:



Direct continuous improvement efforts and cost savings initiatives.
Establishes and recommends to management major economic objectives and policies for the Company and subsidiaries.
Participates on internal business teams.
Acts as an advisor to management and staff on financial issues.
Oversees all Accounting, Accounts payable, Credit and Collections, and Treasury functions.
Ensures compliance with all US and International tax filing requirements.
Assists in the management of banking relationships as well as covenant compliance. In conjunction with VP of Human Resource s, oversees Payroll Administration , Risk Management, Insurance/Benefits Management, Annual Incentive Bonus Programs
Supports financial due diligence activities and financial evaluation and integration of future business acquisitions .
Directs/support special projects as developed by the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, the President and CEO and the Executive Staff.
Provides direct supervision to the US Controller, Cost Accounting Manager and indirect supervision to various key Accounting/Finance subsidiary staff.
As required, supports regular travel requirements to the Company's subsidiary business locations.




Requires:




Minimum - Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance. MBA with concentration in Accounting/Finance with CPA qualifications highly preferred
8 to 10 years of hands on Corporate and/or Divisional Controller level supervisory experience working in a manufacturing company.
Candidates must possess exceptional creative, advisory, informational, instructional, communication, problem solving and meeting skills.
Preferred candidates will have extensive exposure to US GAAP, the general accounting functions specific to manufacturing operations, international accounting standards (IFRS), tax law, experience with managing banking relationships, experience with Private Equity operations including K-1 processing, and experience with ERP systems
Candidates should have EXPERT level skills with MS Office, and ERP software products (JD Edwards) and the use of Business Intelligence Tools (Prophix).
