POSITION: Global Supply Manager
LOCATION: Cupertino, CA, 95014
HOURS: Full-time
DURATION: 12- months, with potential to extend or go permanent
PAY: $52.00/hr.

Job Summary:
The Global Supply Manager (GSM) is positioned at the interface between the Operations Team and the industries that supply repair services for products. In this role, the GSM is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies as well as recommending creative solutions to ever changing challenges. The position requires an interest in market dynamics and competitive behavior, negotiation and pricing, manufacturing/repair processes, and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop a nuanced understanding of repair services landscape to gauge emerging competitive forces.
• Identify changes in buyer/supplier power within core materials and leverage competitive dynamics to company’s advantage.
• Effectively interface with suppliers to negotiate optimal terms for sourcing.
• Understand the tradeoffs between cost/volume/quality to strike agreements that meet company’s performance criteria and secure long-term continuity.
• Collaborate across organization to ensure business objectives are met. (ability to rapidly synthesize/communicate findings and proactively identify potential issues that can affect strategy)
• Optimize global supply chain performance through cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of value-added manufacturing/repair processes/costs/reverse logistics/market intelligence, and apply to influence sourcing decisions.
• Assess and mitigate risks to the business. Manage global supply chain disruptions in real time with the support of an international team.
• Manage and support new product ramps and supplier qualifications.

Key Qualifications:
• Education - BS/BA degree, Masters in a technical field or MBA desirable
• Experience with the management of vendors, contract manufacturers
• Proven procurement, negotiating and leadership skills
• Proven project management and cross-functional teaming skills
• Experience in manufacturing and/or repair services desired
• A knack for negotiation
• Ability to make quick decisions with 80% information
• Interest in technology and/or operations (experience preferred but not required)
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
