Position: Global Travel Security Lead

Location: San Francisco, CA (94103)

Duration: 12 Months


Pay: $40 - $50/hour (flexible depending on experience)




The Travel Security Lead provides leadership, direction, and tactical management of the Global Travel Security Program. This position is responsible for implementation and execution of travel security and safety programs, the assessment of risk exposure, and the implementation of security strategies to protect Uber employees and assets against business interruption. This person will work under the direction of the Travel Security Program Manager.


WHAT YOU’LL DO


Implementation and management of the global travel security program initiatives: travel risk assessment programs, risk mitigation programs, travel standard operating procedures, and region-specific response protocols
Collaborate with global travel entities to ensure consistency - extract best practices for synergy and sharing across business lines
Assess the quality and efficiency of travel initiatives and report your findings and suggestions back to Physical Security leaders for improvement Maintenance of company policies and training materials
Facilitate live training sessions and webinars to launch and sustain a security awareness program
Collaborate with Global Security Operations Team, Travel and Expense Team, and Threat Operations teams to enhance travel safety
Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to stay abreast of changes that could impact the program as well as fix any issues Manage contracts with security providers globally



WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR


5+ years of Corporate or Government Security experience
Experience in global security management, travel safety programs, and corporate security operations.
International experience, security certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional) preferred, or government equivalent.
3+ years of management or supervisory experience is preferred.
Ability to travel as necessary (roughly 25%, international)
Strategic and analytical thinking skills with an ability to solve problems and make decisions.
Ability to network and interact, as well as support effective partnerships with key groups and individuals.
Ability to negotiate and maintain relationships with multiple vendors both nationally and internationally.
Ability to prioritize ongoing and new projects, as well as conduct research and gather information.
Ability to manage local and remote projects both domestic and international.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, plus the ability to perform under intense pressure
