  • BS or BA in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field required. 
  • At least 7 year’s related product management experience
  • At least 3 year’s management experience required 
  • Experience managing consumer product portfolios 
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments and projects simultaneously 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills 
  • Financial Acumen 
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic 
  • Thrives in a fast pace environment 
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams 
  • Experience working in a matrix environment 
  • Consumer products experience 
  • Strong project management skills 
  • What You'll Do:
    As a Product Manager, you’ll be part of our Stanley Black & Decker team located in Towson, MD. In this role, you will be responsible for developing product and market strategies to drive double digit growth and improved profitability across the portfolio.??Manage the short- and long-term P&L of the product line, increase the working capital turns of the portfolio, expand the business with new products and lead cross-functional teams through the New Product Development Process. Specifically, you’ll:

  • Develops and executes a product strategy for the category to meet or exceed the company’s overall strategy and goals. 
  • Can Identify and implement the necessary projects to grow all product lines within their responsibility. 

  • Responsible for driving growth globally and partnering with the international teams to identify high impact opportunities. 

  • Develop and deliver operating plan for assigned consumer products portfolio. Track, forecast, and present new product financial performance monthly. ? 

  • Understand market trends in order to ensure product strategy aligns with the needs of the customer; develop and execute product road map 

  • Lead development of product roadmaps based on product strategies, NPD program financials, and channel strategies.? Work with engineering and operations team to ensure the roadmap can be executed based on resources and capacity. 

  • Conduct regular VOC visits to have a deep understanding of target market segments, end user needs, and pain points for the product portfolio. 

  • Responsible for NPD programs from ideation to commercialization. Team leader to ensure delivery of winning new products through end-user focused market requirements, aligned business case with channel/region teams, design trade-off management, succinct end user messaging, and price positioning for optimal profitability. 

  • Partners with operations (supply chain) and sales planning to ensure fill rate targets are achieved through long term capacity planning and demand planning for new products. 

  • Manages, develops, and mentors a team of product managers to achieve the business goals. 

  • Responsible to effectively communicating to external audiences the product differentiation, product positioning, and value proposition to win or retain business. 

  • Identify and execute plans to deliver productivity in the category to ensure we remain competitive in the marketplace without sacrificing customer valued product features. 

  • Ensures processes are followed to successfully develop new products and deliver on time to commitment dates.? 

  • Develops brand and product positioning strategy by product line, including target financial profitability objectives. 

  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestic & international.
