Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Field Service Technician

The Field Service Technician is an important role. We are looking for someone who can cheerfully diagnose, repair and maintain our five separate lines of construction and agriculture equipment.

Some of the specific roles and responsibilities are:

  • Independently diagnose and repair / maintain leading brands in heavy equipment as assigned. This is often done onsite with a customer.
  • Work with parts department and supervisors to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Research repair procedures and parts, both in written form and on computer.
  • Duties may include the safe operation of a motor vehicle to and from customer work sites which would require a current driver license and insurance.

The ideal candidate may have a background in the military, worked in the construction industry, grew up on a farm, have experience in repairing agricultural or construction equipment including hydraulics and electrical repairs.

  • Because this is position that works independently, one must be disciplined, and have strong remote communication skills with manager.
  • High school equivalency, vocational degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of mechanical experience on the farm, military, construction or as a mechanic of heavy equipment at a minimum

  • Ability to participate in weekend work schedules and overtime when necessary.
  • Frequent climbing of steps up to approximately 36”.
  • Frequent maneuvering and lifting of approximately 100+ pounds.
