Help Desk Associate – Mahwah, NJ
6 Months+
Monday – Friday 9am – 6pm (This position shift rotates 5 day work week. Possibility of 3 shifts (6:30am – 3:15pm, 2:30pm – 12:15am, 12:30am – 7:15am), which may rotate on a quarterly basis.)
$22.00 / hr.

Specific Duties


Handles more complex problems or malfunctions of systems application, hardware and software


Responsible for day to day operations of Help Desk and some analysis on call volume


Recognize, research, isolate and resolve information systems problems


Coordinate referrals to appropriate technical, professional or service personnel for appropriate services, repairs, training, and follow-up.


Basic understanding of WAN / LAN networks, routing fundamentals and the ability to troubleshoot issues with switches and routers


Ability to monitor and respond to network / server events


Respond to calls from internal users and support teams to assist with events and incidents


Must Have:


High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years computer hardware experience


Data Communications - Intermediate


TCP/IP - Intermediate


AS/400 - Intermediate


AS/400 Environment - Intermediate


Storage Area Networks - Beginner


MQ - Beginner


LAN Technologies - Intermediate


Windows Operating System - Intermediate


Technical Knowledge of Hardware & Software - Intermediate


HP-UX - Beginner


Microsoft Office - Intermediate
