HR Analytics Associate

A leading University in New Brunswick is seeking an HR Analyst. Job details are below.
Title: HR Analytics Associate
Duration: 6 months with possible extension or potential to apply to the permanent job
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am  5:00 pm
Pay rate: $40/hr
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Performs analytics for projects and initiatives as required for all functional areas.  
  • Analyzes HR Data, provide current metrics and dashboards to make data-informed decisions.
  • Creates dashboards, support management with periodic reports and adhoc report requests.
  • Identifies, acquires, and builds datasets needed to design and develop queries and workflows to be used for continuous monitoring. 
  • Reviews and analyzes query results to identify items of interest for management review. 
  • Plays a critical role in strengthening HRs strategic business partnerships by collaborating with customers and serving as workforce analytics and strategy expert. 
  • Performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements: 
  • Bachelors Degree is required in Business, Economics, Human Resources or Mathematics, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience is required with metrics, analytics, or other datafocused area. 
  • Proven skills analyzing and interpreting data. 
  • Ability to effectively partner with others and remain customer service focused by meeting the needs of the business. 
  • Strong attention to detail and easily adapts to new assignments, systems, and tools. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Advance knowledge of Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and graphs. 
  • Understanding of ERP Systems, particularly Oracle, and resulting data, including data warehouses with the ability to independently explore and build data sources as needed. 
  • Advanced degree in a related field, and experience in a higher education setting preferred.
  • Experience with Tableau, Microsoft VBA, SQL, Java/JavaScript, or other visualization tools and programming languages also preferred.
