Responsibilities for this HR Assistant job include:

  • Responsible for timely and accurate data entry and paperwork for all new hires and employee terminations
  • Answer routine HR related inquiries for front line employees regarding benefits, FMLA, PTO accrual, workers compensation, and basic policy interpretation
  • Maintain human resource manual filing system
  • Coordinate and maintain all aspects of plant safety training for new employees.
  • Responsible for maintaining and ordering inventory of PPE and other Safety Equipment for employees
  • Work with HR Director to assist in the planning, coordination and execution of Plant and HR initiatives, including employee events, Family Day, Corporate Responsibility Day, benefits open enrollment, safety celebrations, etc.
  • Employee communications – create signage, PowerPoints, flyers, emails, etc. to effectively communicate HR information to employees
  • Assistance with recruiting process for the site – interview scheduling with management, interviewing for entry level positions
  • Other administrative tasks as needed

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • ADP Experience is a MUST 
  • Minimum of 1 year of previous Administrative experience, preferably on an HR team
  • Attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be self-directed and able to multi-task effectively
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, as well as Internet Explorer are required
