SUMMARYContract Training Coordinator will work as part of a team of two GMI Training Coordinators to provide Operations training support & coordination at GMI’s Chanhassen manufacturing plant as we hire and skill up a large number of technicians in the next few months. The Training Coordinator will report to the Training & Continuous Improvement Manager.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
• Coordinating and facilitating classroom based New Hire Orientations for Operations Technicians
• Coordinating and scheduling training events for new hire Technicians during their 90 day orientation period
• Tracking completion of Technician training activities and success towards certifications
• Collecting documentation related to Operations training activities
• Deploying and tracking monthly online training through GMI’s Learning Management System
A successful candidate will need to pass all of GMI’s pre-hire physical and background check requirements, as well as be capable of learning and getting certified on our Control of Hazardous Energy process once on-site, and be willing and able to follow all of GMI’s human and food safety procedures at all times.

• Demonstrated ability to lead with safety
• Ability to build relationships and gain the support of others at all levels across the plant
• Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to self-start and manage multiple projects
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong classroom/group facilitation skills
• Ability to address conflict in a constructive manner
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
• Ability and willingness to learn new tools and processes and accept feedback
• Experience working within a team environment

Preferred Skills/Experience
• Post-secondary education is helpful, but not required.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Solid ability to deliver effective training in group settings, including ability to react to dynamic situations and respond to questions

This is a 7+ month contract opportunity with possibilities for extension and full-time conversion.
