HR Generalist

Responsibilities for HR GENERALIST include but are not limited to the following:

  • Basic understanding of FMLA / ADA to support HR Manager & Employee Relations Manager for a company that employees approx. 2500 across the country.
  • Knowledge of Workers Comp to support HR Manager with administrative functions
  • Reference laws / requirements of other states such as NY now requires sexual harassment training, California sick leave
  • Support Employee Relations with employee disciplinary forms, suspensions; proper processing for termination compliance (steps in 3 different systems to complete) Track terminations & initiate post-employment survey through survey monkey program
  • Respond to managers & recruiters to confirm eligibility for candidate rehire.
  • Complete employee updates such as address changes in all software systems
  • a lot of multi-tasking, great organizational skills & flexibility to provide overall support within HR

Due to the nature of the Clients business of supporting retail with merchandising, electronic display, improved brand awareness- they have a lot of part-time & seasonal employees which increases turn over. Consequently, this affects the HR Team with increase employee processing. They use 3rd party administrator (Oasis) and a lot of manual processing. Detailed to follow up on leave, documents & emails associated.

Hours – Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

Pay for this position based on experience.
