The Human Resource Generalist position is responsible for the administration of the group benefit programs including health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, workers compensation, life insurance, flexible spending plan, tuition reimbursement plan and 401(k) plan. The Senior Human Resource Generalist also performs a variety of duties as related to Human Resources.

Responsible for day-to-day administration of benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, flexible spending, COBRA, and 401(k) plans. Monitors compliance with federal and state regulations governing benefits programs such as Section 125, FMLA, USERRA and ERISA.

Participates in the negotiations and contracts with benefit plan providers, vendors, auditors, and consultants for services, premiums, and plan administration.

Point of contact for all benefit vendors and brokers.

Manage weekly payroll files and file feeds to vendors, trouble shoot file errors.

Manages the annual open enrollment process.

Conducts monthly new employee benefit orientation.

Track eligibility and enrollment for ACA Reporting.

Track qualifying life enrollment events, full-time to part-time eligibility status to ensure plans are compliant with the Affordable Care Act.

Provides ongoing benefits education to employees during the annual open enrollment and during new hire orientation presentations.

Prepares and communicates information to employees and former employees about benefit programs, procedures, changes, and government-mandated disclosures.

Administers the Company�s paid time off programs and leaves of absence to meet established guidelines and regulations under the Family Medical Leave Act.

Prepares and submits government-mandated reports.

Manages wellness initiatives.

Calculates and reconciles monthly benefit plan invoices for payment.

Complete monthly audits on payroll deductions and benefit enrollments.

Participates in quarterly 401(k) investment committee meetings.

Responsible for compiling required documentation and reports for annual 5500 reporting.

Administer tuition reimbursement program.

Develop and run payroll reports as necessary for day-to-day functions.

Assists in preparing special reports (Equal Employment Opportunity, Veterans Reports, etc.).

Knowledge of I-9 compliances

Maintain personnel files,( benefit, medical files, I-9s, 401(k) records).

Responsible for managing and tracking of the Exodyne Safety Program monthly reports.

Member of Safety Committee, review monthly safety reports, identifies safety issues, and follows up on corrective actions.

Compiles and distributes annual OSHA 300 reports.

Processes workers compensation claims and files with the insurance company.

Participates in quarterly claim review meetings with insurance company and broker.
Administer the company's random drug screen program.

Act as back-up for pre-employment, background, and onboarding processes when other HR employees are not available.

Perform other duties as required.

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or other related field.

Three to five years of benefits administration.

Professional-level HR experience is required. A thorough knowledge of Human Resources administration practices and applicable laws is required.

PHR Preferred.
