LOCATION: Coral Springs, FL
HOURS: Full-time
DURATION: 10 Months, with potential to extend or go permanent
PAY: $32.00/hr

Job Summary:
The Human Resources Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function, to include developing company policies, and directing such activities as employment, compensation, performance reviews, discipline and coaching, labor relations, benefits, and training.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Develops and administers various human resources plan and procedures for all company personnel
Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems
Directly supervises HR staff
Implements and annually updates the compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys and develops merit pool (salary budget); analyzes compensation; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary
Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness, information activities program and cash flow
Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations
Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary workers; writes and places advertisements; works with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; conducts reference checking; extends job offers; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-path program and employee relations counseling; conducts exit interviews
Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as budget meetings and strategic planning sessions. Maintains organizational charts and employee directory
Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws. Completes an annual departmental plan in support of the strategic plan and company budget
Maintains and negotiates contracts with our vendors, including, but not limited to, benefits providers, insurance companies, ADP, and staffing company’s system-wide
Serves as primary contact for OSHA-related activities (e.g., inspections, incidences, annual Form 300A)
Maintains FL time clock for existing hourly employees, new hires, and temporary employees
Administers Worker’s Compensation claims/litigation with counsel
Approves time cards and payroll; submits approved hours to staffing companies
Reconciles/approves staffing company invoices and updates A/P
Maintains records of recordable safety incidences; ensures Safety Flashes are completed
Leads or otherwise directs new employee orientation and onboarding
Manages unemployment processes, including filing and following up on Form 640 (FL and CA)
Maintains company policies and employee handbook
Maintains database of job descriptions and regularly updates headcount
Completes wage-related market assessments and advises on such (new and current employees)
Processes employment verifications (FL and CA)
Completes other tasks and projects as assigned by supervisor

• Bachelor's degree and five years of human resource experience, or nine years of experience in the HR field.
• Manufacturing experience preferred
