Human Resource Organizational Development Consultant

for our premier global ecommerce client in San Jose CA 95125

Coaching & Consulting Practitioner

W2 contract: 6 + months

Pay rate: $55.00 per hour

The Organization Development Practice sits within our e-commerce client’s HR - Global Talent & Organization Development (GT&OD) function and is responsible for building and formalizing the client’s OD strategy and delivery model.

The Organization Development Practice team partners with internal OD Consultants to understand requirements across businesses and regions to optimize for internally vs externally sourced OD solutions and to drive consistent approaches across teams.

This team has an opening for an experienced and well-rounded Organization Development professional.

The ideal candidate will have broad Talent & OD experience gained from working in complex matrix and global organizations, and will have worked as an internal and/or external consultant.

The successful individual will be accountable for managing and evaluating the fulfilment of global coaching and consulting requests, ensuring achievement of desired business outcomes and the building of internal capability.

This individual would further be capable of drawing insights and trends from available data to influence the strategy and provision of future enterprise OD offerings as well as regional/BU focus areas.

Role description:

• Partner with internal OD Consultants and global business leaders to understand their requirements and support the selection & deployment of relevant qualified coaches or consultants

• Source best in class global/local vendors to address business requirements

• On-board external vendors (consultants, coaches), own high level relationships with vendor providers in Region and hold them to our high service standards

• Work with the Vendor & Engagement Manager to support the building of long-term vendor partnerships

• Manage the evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives and deliverables / partner with OD Consultants to drive process improvements

• Work with various data sources to develop organizational insights based on engagement requests and outcomes

• Partner with GT&OD Operations Lead on OD Practice communication (stories on People Community profiling relevant tools/topics etc.)

• Support OD capability building and embedding of frameworks/tools/processes

• Manage and deliver on Internal Consulting engagements as required

Ideal candidiates should have:

• 10 years of broad Leadership/OD experience

• Systems thinker used to working at the individual, team and organizational levels

• OD diagnosis of business needs / asks insightful questions and understands business context

• Must complete internal consulting assignments (ideally worked as an internal consultant or have skills to do team effectiveness and facilitation work at a Director leadership level)

• Experienced in managing vendors relationships and negotiating pricing

• Comfortable working with details (data and basic analytics) but can also think strategically and systemically

• Creative problem solver

• Fast executer with a strong customer orientation

• Experience in change management and/or organizational design is preferred

• Experience in working as a coach or a coaching qualification is a plus!
