Type:                      Fulltime (40 hours / week) contract

Length:                  1 year

Pay:                        20.60 / HR

Shift/Hours:          8A – 5P

 

Responsibilities for this HR Pensions Assistant job include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain the human resource records of an organization’s employees
  • Responsible for maintaining personnel documents as well as performing pension related tasks, along with other employee-related activities
  • Process, verify and maintain documentation relating to personnel and pension activities such as inventory files and boxes, sorting boxes and files, employment data/ history, pension calculations, pension eligibility
  • Process and review pension files to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants and organizing files
  • Record data for each employee, including such information as addresses, weekly earning, employment dates and locations, employment history, and pension eligibility
  • Request information from HR locations or other HR functional teams and other references to determine applicants’ eligibility
  • Required to accurately document and record customer/client information

 

Qualifications for this HR Pensions Assistant job:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related discipline preferred
  • 2 to 4 years customer service-related experience required
  • ERISA knowledge is preferred
  • Pension experience is highly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel required (Batches. V-lookups, Pivot Tables) required
  • Able to work with large groups of data
  • PeopleSoft and SharePoint experience preferred
  • Experience in Microsoft Access preferred
  • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
