POSITION: HR Technology Payroll & Timekeeping Analyst

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

The HR Technology Payroll & Timekeeping Analyst will provide production support and project support for all Payroll and Timekeeping systems. This role will research and resolve moderate issues and work directly with resources across HR teams and Technology.
Manage support tickets in the ServiceNow HR Technology queue, including those for general payroll and timekeeping system support (PeopleSoft Payroll, PeopleSoft Time & Labor, Kronos).
Participate in the design sessions to identify functional requirements/specifications for new development and ongoing projects.
Develop queries/reports to perform analysis for projects and ongoing business needs. Understand advanced metric reporting and be able to deliver with minimal direction.
Troubleshoot HR system usage issues for team members and business partners and determine appropriate escalation paths to third-party vendors and/or support resources where appropriate.
Collaborate with functional and technical partners to help resolve issues.
Exercise good judgment in the use of standards and technical knowledge.
Coordinate solutions in partnership with internal HR Technology resources and communicate resolution as appropriate.
Work with the Training department to develop end user training material for current and new functionality and/or processes.
Understand and interpret basic payroll concepts such as: earning code and tax calculations, shift rules, state specific overtime calculations and variant business setups.
Understand financial implications of different types of pay such as: commission pay, bonus pay, piece and flag pay, flat pay etc.
Be proficient at analysis and creation of timekeeping to payroll system data load files
Have 8.0 or above Kronos knowledge including basic configuration interpretation
Have PeopleSoft Time and Labor knowledge
Know how to read and interpret Kronos and Time and Labor terms.
Know how to read and interpret basic PeopleSoft, Time and Labor and Kronos Payroll and finance reports
Know how to troubleshoot PeopleSoft employee setup as it relates to timekeeping


Minimum 4+ years’ experience with HR technologies
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, customer service orientation
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization
Proficient computing skills in a PC environment, particularly Excel
1-2 years’ experience with PeopleSoft HRMS preferred
1-2 years’ experience with Kronos, Kronos 8.0 preferred
Strong reporting skills – PeopleSoft Query, SQL, etc.
Ability to take initiative to identify and anticipate client needs, make recommendations, and implement actions
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, information technology or a related field or equivalent combination of related professional experience and education
