HSE Coordinator

Adecco Staffing is working closely with a client in Waltham, MA. We are looking to bring on a member of the HSE team to assist in facilities tasks in 3 locations. This will be a split position between Watertown, MA, Waltham, MA, and Londonderry, NH. 


Hours: Monnday - Friday 8:00-5:00(flexible hours) 

Starting Pay: $25.00 an hour

The Facilities, Environmental, Health, Safety & Security Technician will support the Facilities, HSE and Security Manager with all facilities, HSE & Security activities at Bosch’s Londonderry NH, Watertown MA and Waltham, MA locations.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for supporting all assigned aspects of the Facilities, Environmental, Health, Safety & Security for multiple locations. 

Facilities (~60%)

  • Supports management of the facilities capital investment budget and capital purchasing process
  • Supports effective maintenance of the facilities expense budget
  • Maintains vendor services for regular items such as cleaning, landscaping, etc.
  • Contract work as needed to support the facility and the business while following proper processes and internal controls.
  • Provides contractor review, onboarding and oversight of work activities
  • Supports oversight and management of building upgrades and permitting at responsible locations.
  • Act as a liaison with governmental and quasi-governmental agencies as it relates to building code enforcement and security.
  • Works closely with facility associates to address concerns and requests
  • Works closely with Purchasing to monitor active PO’s and supports the creation of new PO’s as necessary
  • Security (~10%)

  • Supports Plant Security Officer (PRS) at all responsible locations.
  • Supports the day-to-day security activities based on the Bosch internal security policies.
  • Supports PRS with investigations into violations of company security policies, and acting as liaison with local authorities as required.
  • Maintains security systems, including intruder alarm, access controls and CCTV.
  • Maintains and issues badges and keys, as well as security codes and inventories such as necessary
  • Promotes maintaining a safe and healthy workplace at all times
  • HSE (~30%)

  • Supports the management of environmental, occupational health & safety at all responsible locations
  • Assist in the development, implementation and administration of corporate environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure that federal, state and local safety laws, regulations, codes and rules are observed
  • Drive awareness and culture towards safety excellence in all work areas
  • Monitor activities where accidents could occur, halting any operation or activity that constitutes an imminent hazard to personnel, environment or equipment; Investigate incidents using methodical problem solving techniques to identify root cause
  • Support the creation of, and participate in, local Emergency Response Team / Safety Committee meetings
  • Assist in maintaining HSE training programs to satisfy specific regulatory and Bosch requirements, and to improve overall environmental, safety and health performance within the company
  • Examine plans and specifications for new machinery or processes
  • Participate in internal and external audits of HSE
  • Perform other essential and related duties as may be required
  • Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in an EHS specialty (safety/environmental/industrial hygiene) field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of Facilities, Maintenance and/or Construction experience
  • Working knowledge of Federal and MA/NH State Safety and Environmental Regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects successfully
  • Good command of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel between various responsible sites as needed
