Human Resource Assistant

Essential Functions: 

  • Assist with employees, temp associates, and external partners for all HR related queries. As a priority, assisting with employee documentation
  • Perform heavy data entry of confidential information and assist with maintaining personnel records, managing HR documents (e.g., employment records and onboarding guides) and updating internal databases
  • Providing training and onboarding support to all levels of associates by conducting new hire orientation
  • Responsible for entering all new hires, status changes, and enrollments in all mediums
  • Perform heavy data entry of confidential information and maintain employee files
  • Coordinate cross-team messages and updates about happenings/processes
  • File, scan and organize HR materials
  • Provide payroll support and data entry responsibilities for timekeeping accuracy and reporting
  • Support employees and leaders in all areas of Human Resources, including policies & procedures, compensation & benefits, best practices, and employee relations
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are upheld and aligned
  • Participate in special projects, as assigned

  •  Required Experience/Education:

  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources or People Ops in manufacturing, distribution, or ecommerce
  • Track record of supporting an hourly workforce and first-level supervisors
  • Familiarity with time and attendance systems
  • Strong understanding of recruitment strategies and techniques, employment agency methods and operations, developed skill in interviewing techniques
  • Able to take direction and relay information to employees
  • Bilingual strongly preferred

    Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 10 pounds regularly  
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Regular stooping, squatting, bending, twisting, and walking
  •
