Human Resource Director


ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS:
• Develops, updates and administers various human resources plans, programs and procedures for all company personnel.
• Oversees employee acquisition process including recruitment, interviewing, testing, hiring and onboarding.
• Implements, reviews and updates compensation programs as needed; includes creating and updating job descriptions; conducting/researching salary surveys, analyzing compensations, developing merit pool (salary budget), and deploying a performance evaluation program.
• Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook.
• Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, and annual evaluation of policies for cost effectiveness.
• Files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
• Responsible for recruitment for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary employees; writes and places advertisements; screens applicants and works with managers to select appropriate staff.
• Establishes and maintains employment records and reports. Maintains company organization charts and employee directory.
• Performs various employment relations activities, including but not limited to onboarding employees (new hire orientation and transition), listening to and appropriately addressing employee concerns/issues, assisting managers with employee coaching and counseling, and conducting and utilizing exit interviews to improve the Society’s human resources plans, programs, procedures and practices

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
• Thorough working knowledge of federal and state statutes and regulations governing the employment relationship and human resource management theories and practices.
• Excellent computer skills in use of internet and Microsoft Office products.
 
Experience with ADP a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills.
• Ability to prioritize the workload and complete multiple assignments with competing and conflicting deadlines.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; able to problem solve a wide variety of issues and develop and deploy actions to continuously improve
