Human resource Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION-
Required Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in related field & 5 plus years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
Experience in the management of payroll and other human resource programs.

Preferred Education and Experience

Human resource experience in the automotive manufacturing industry.
Five years of HR management experience
PHR/SPHR certification


The Human Resources Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function. Recommends, develops and implements approved policies, procedures and programs to protect the company and employee interests in accordance with corporate HR policies and governmental laws and regulations. Identifies and complies with legal requirements and government reporting regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage employee relations function to ensure that consistent application of policies and procedures are followed, and objectives are met.
Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
Manage employee relation issues and disciplinary actions.
Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary workers; writes and placed advertisements; works with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; conducts reference checking; extends job offers; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-path program and employee relations counseling; conducts exit interviews.
Responsible for Health, Safety and Environmental Program to ensure a safe working environment.
Perform manual and computer-based administrative tasks related to the position to handle recordkeeping requirements.
Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars. Maintains organizational charts and employee directory.
Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Maintain and update weekly & monthly KPI’s and reporting requirements.
Create and maintain job descriptions.
Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
Manages the performance evaluation process.
Manage annual pay grade and pay scale review and make recommendations for increases according to survey data.
Oversee payroll accuracy and compliance.
Maintain open door at all levels to ensure open communication and awareness.
