Human Resources Administrator

Responsible for day to day administration of policies and programs covering several or all of the following: Recruiting, compensation, benefits, training, employee and labor relations, safety and personnel research.


Coordinate, facilitate, and audit HR processes including E-Verify, LOA’s/STD, new hire and termination paperwork, and exit interviews.
Assist in coordination of new hire and termination paperwork.
Process all “Employee Action Forms” in a timely and accurate manner.
Monitor and audit “Employee Action Forms” to ensure accuracy in such items as salary calculations and recommendations, job titles/codes, approval signatures, etc., and follow-up with necessary changes. Ensure accuracy in organization chart.
Manage and administer all employee Leave of Absences.
Serve as main point-of-contact for all employees requesting leave information.
Partner with Trainer for on boarding activities.
Responsible for planning, leading and managing several employee and community events per year and ensuring that each event is representative of the company’s image, culture and mission.
Assist in all steps of the recruitment process.
Provide support for New Hire Orientation to include employee benefits support.
Respond to unemployment claims.
Create, maintain and update processes as needed.
Word Processing and defined project work.
Coordinate meetings/food as directed by the Human Resources Manager
Manage Purchase Card for the Human Resources Department.
Respond to routine inquiries: benefits, HR/corporate policies and procedures, and provide the appropriate resources to address the issues in question.
Provide administrative assistance to HR manager including answering phone calls, create factory wide communication memos, maintaining department files, and scheduling meetings. Provide support to HR staff for administrative assistance as necessary.
Occasionally provide phone coverage at front desk.
Other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Manager or Plant Manager.


Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent


BS/BA Degree level education. Prefer concentration in Human Resources Management, Business, Organizational Communication, or Industrial Psychology.
Prior Human Resources Department experience
Knowledge of Federal and State employment laws, HR technical knowledge in EEO, AA, FMLA, ADA, and unemployment.


Minimum of 1 year of Administrative Assistant experience


Position requires good math and reading ability.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to seek and find true understanding in all communications.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
Willing to work flexible schedule including overtime & holidays.
