Human Resources and Payroll Coordinator

Adecco is helping assist a local client located in Scotia, NY. This is a Temp to Hire position that is Monday-Friday with a great client! They are looking for a qualified Human Resources/Payroll Coordinator to join their team. The pay for this position ranges from $40,000 to $52,000 depending on experience and work history.

Essential Responsibilities Includes (but not limited to):
• Act as main contact and HR/payroll service provider for all employees 
• Address and resolve staff related issues promptly with courtesy and confidentiality
• Prepare and accurately process payroll every other week via ADP (hourly, salaried)
• Process all paperwork for new hires, terminations, employment changes
• Process and track approved vacation/sick/personal time and other leaves of absence
• Process unemployment claims and other DOL forms as needed
• Prepare and file Form 5500 in relation to retirement plan
• Monitor and manage insurances such as worker’s compensation
• Assist ADP in proper and timely management of required ACA reporting
• Assist in choosing employee benefits package annually, and manage employee enrollment process.
• Assist in development and implementation of HR related company policies
• Initiate/organize/implement employee events including training and social events

• Minimum of Associates degree in Business, Accounting or related field; bachelor’s degree a plus
• Minimum 2 years of experience in processing payroll and benefits administration
• Experience in ADP payroll processing
• Excellent familiarity and knowledge of (NYS) state and federal labor laws
• Proficiency in computer skills including but not limited to Word, Excel,   PowerPoint
• Attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to work independently
• Strong personal, verbal and analytical skills
• Excellent ability to meet deadlines, multitask and follow through to resolution
