Human Resources Assistant (Admin)

Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search for a Human Resources Assistant (Admin) role in Waltham, MA. Candidates must be local to the Waltham area or within a reasonable commuting distance. We are only considering candidates that meet the qualifications listed below:

Must be eligible to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship / NO corp to corp or 3rd party contracting arrangement / Adecco W2 only
Must be able to successfully complete a full background check, drug screen, employment verification, educational verification and reference checks required upon any offer.


The Human Resources Assistant (Admin) role will work as a coordinator within the HR team. The position will last approximately six months and will interact closely with all levels of management.

Principal Responsibilities:

Provides support to the HR team in administering policies and programs.
Answer employee inquiries, including but not limited to: benefits, payroll, training, policies, etc.
Performs benefits functions from an administrative perspective
Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accuracy.
Maintains divisional HRIS records and compiles reports from the database as needed.
Collaborates with other HR employees in a team environment
Participate in full cycle new hire onboarding (draft offer letters, conduct background check & drug test, E-verify, new hire packages, paperwork, etc.).
Partner closely with the corporate office.
E-Time administrator (vacation and time).
Maintain personnel files and file room.
Performs related duties as required.


Internal & External Relationships:

Works closely with all levels within the company including local geography, corporate and with field/office-based personnel.


Education/Experience:

Four (4) year degree in a related field
3 years (minimum) experience working administratively within an HR environment
Prior systems experience required (HRIS, Payroll, Training, etc.)

Must be extremely detail-oriented and possess a high concern for the accuracy of information given including attention to the status and details of projects and assignments.
Must possess the highest degree of integrity and ethical standards.
Genuine curiosity and passion for the business and HR.
Ability to operate with a high level of professionalism, integrity and discretion.
Able to deal with multiple priorities and react quickly within a constantly changing environment. Asserts a ‘can do’ attitude.


Ability to gather, organize and analyze data in completion of general assignments.
Ability to effectively convey ideas through oral and written communications.
Ability to apply some resourcefulness to accommodate changes or revision of ideas, procedures.
Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
Knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
