Human Resources Assistant

Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Human Resources Assistant position in Columbus, Ohio. The Human Resources Assistant will work as part of the Human Resources team to deliver exceptional service to the client’s customers.  This position will report to the Human Resources Director and will have exposure to the senior management team. Type: Part Time Contract

Length: 10+ months

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00/hr

Schedule: Flexible, up to 24 hours a week, potential to increase hours depending on business needs

Responsibilities for this Human Resources Assistant job include, but are not limited to:

  • Acting as a liaison between employees and insurance providers to resolve benefits related issues
  • Maintain digital employee files to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Assist with creating, planning and scheduling employee, management and leadership training
  • Assist all employees with benefits and HR related issues
  • Assist with recruitment/hiring process; such as creating requisitions, identifying solid candidates for plant level openings, scheduling interviews, conducting new hire orientation
  • Create offer letters, memos, procedures, policies, emails
  • Assist with Employee relations – employee morale events
  • Support on-boarding programs and creative plans for retention
  • Create and administer employee surveys
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal and State laws for entire organization
  • Qualifications for this Human Resources Assistant job:

  • 2 years as a HR Coordinator level
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or equivalent
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, PowerPoint, Word, Excel
  • Professional demeanor
  • Knowledge of HR Law
  • Strong understanding of AAP, EEOC and OFFCP practices, requirements
  • Background in full cycle recruiting – hiring for all levels of the organization
  • Appreciation for exceptional on-boarding programs and creative plans for retention
  • Experience creating training programs and maintaining their delivery
