Adecco Direct Hire is assisting their client in their search for an experienced Human Resources Assistant Manager. Located in Orange County (Headquartered in Japan), our client is one of the leading manufacturers and distributors within the Food and Snacking industry.

The Human Resources Assistant Manager will be responsible for implementing HR activities including staffing and talent acquisition, employee relations/training, payroll & recordkeeping, and benefits administration.

The ideal candidate would have a strong understanding of Japanese culture, customs, and etiquette (business/social); and a thorough knowledge in HR/Labor issues and polices – both in the United States and Japan.

Compensation: Salary/Base + Annual Bonus

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent from four-year college.
Minimum 5 years’ HR experience and/or training
Prior experience working with a Japanese company (in the US) is preferred, but not mandatory
Ability to travel occasionally (local, domestic, and international).
Knowledgeable of Employment and Labor Laws
Proficient in Microsoft Office. Advanced level at PPT and Excel is required
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong skills in organization, time management, attention to details and problem solving
